Mr. Caraway was born in Alamogordo and raised in a loving Christian home where he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at a young age. Although growing up, he attended church regularly. He understood who Jesus was and that he died for his sins. Mr. Caraway rededicated and totally surrendered his life to Christ 6 years ago at the age of 29. It was then that he truly understood true genuine repentance and became Born Again

He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from New Mexico State University and his Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of the Southwest. This will be Mr. Caraway’s first year teaching at Imago Dei Academy. Before this, he had been teaching in the Alamogordo Public School District since 2010, with the last ten years at Mountain View Middle School, where he taught 6th through 8th-grade Physical Education and Health. During his time there, he coached many after-school sports for the district, including football, basketball, and baseball, and led the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for many years.

He and his wife have been married for 11 years and are both active members of First Baptist Church. They have two children who both attend IDA. Mr. Caraway is very excited about this new opportunity that God has opened, and he looks forward to helping students grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
